DoN Presents 2013 Nunn-Perry Award
2013 Nunn-Perry Award to Q.E.D Systems, Inc. & Advanced Integrated Technologies, LLC
On May 15, 2014, Q.E.D Systems, Inc. (Q.E.D) and Advanced Integrated Technologies, LLC (AIT) were awarded the 2013 Department of Defense (DOD) Nunn-Perry Award for outstanding and successful Mentor- Protégé relationship facilitated by the Department of the Navy (DoN).
AIT is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that specializes in shipboard and submarine maintenance and modernizations. AIT began the program with only 39 employees and about $2.5M in annual revenue. After three years of participation in the Mentor-Protégé Program and with the expert help from its mentor Q.E.D, it had a 56% percent employee growth and an annual revenue increase of 149%. AIT received assistance in business development, infrastructure, engineering and technical development some of which was provided by George Mason University’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (GMU-PTAC). AIT’s ability to meet client expectations, increase agility and provide higher quality products and services to Q.E.D, the DoN, and ultimately to our nation’s warfighter, has significantly improved since the inception of the agreement.
